Jonathan Lee Riches

Jonathan Lee Riches is one of the coolest and stupidest prisoners ever incarcerated. Instead of wasting his time working out, reading books or making friends with other inmates, Riches has spent his last several years in jail suing some of the world's most famous people for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

Riches, who was convicted of wire fraud in 2006, has filed thousands of lawsuits in federal district courts across the United States since entering prison. Just a handful of the defendants in Riches lawsuits include: former President of the United States George W. Bush, Perez Hilton, Somali pirates, Martha Stewart, Steve Jobs, New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick, and Britney Spears. Fearful of being tortured, Riches also sued the Immigration and Naturalization Service in 2007 in an attempt to avoid being deported to Pakistan when he is released from in March of 2012.

Riches has also filed restraining orders against Courtney Cox, Daniel Pearl (deceased), and Katie Couric, who he claims stuck a camera in his cell while he was "in misery" in solitary confinement.

Riches' latest victim? Bernie Madoff, against whom Riches filed a hand-written motion in January of this year. The motion claims that Madoff took money from Riches and other innmates in their medium-level prison facility in Butner, North Carolina, with the guarantee that they'd receive a 16.8 percent return. Instead, Riches said Madoff stole their money and stashed it into a “Swiss account Ponzi.”
